Madeline Kathryn Brewer was born on May 1, 1992 in Pitman, New Jersey. She is an American actress. She is best known for her role in Orange Is the New Black.
Brewer grew up in Pitman, New Jersey, the daughter of actor and musician Mark Brewer and his wife Laurie. She graduated from the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York City. From 2013 she impersonated the role of Tricia Miller in the series Orange Is the New Black. Due to the success of the series, Brewer gained worldwide fame. In 2014/15 she played Miranda Cates in the series Hemlock Grove for ten episodes. After further appearances in series, she appeared in the episode Men of Steel in the Netflix series Black Mirror in 2016 and has starred in the series The Handmaid's Tale since 2017.
Brewer has also appeared in films since 2017, including the 2019 sci-fi thriller Captive State. She won Best Actress at the 2018 Brooklyn Horror Film Festival for her role in the film Cam.
