Biography of Kristanna Loken

Kristanna Sommer Loken was born on October 8, 1979 in Ghent, New York. She is an American actress and fashion model.

Loken was born in Ghent, New York, to model Rande and writer Merlin "Chris" Loken, and grew up with her sister Tanya on her parents' fruit farm in upstate New York. She has Norwegian and German ancestry.

As an actress, Loken made world famous in particular for the role of Terminatrix T-X in the film Terminator 3 - Rise of the Machines. Prior to Terminator 3, Loken played the role of Taja in the television series Mortal Kombat: Conquest.

Other film projects include the adaptation of the Nibelungen saga Die Nibelungen, in which Loken plays Brunhilde, and the vampire film BloodRayne.

Loken starred in the role of Paige Sobel in The L Word in 2007. However, she left the series because she had private problems with the rest of the ensemble. That same year, she also starred in the action series Painkiller Jane.

On May 10, 2008, Loken married Noah Danby. On November 16, 2009, she announced in an interview that she had split from Danby and was now in a relationship with a woman. Loken has been in a relationship with politician Antonio Villaraigosa since May 2015.
