Biography of Kate Hudson
Kate Hudson was born on April 19, 1979 in Los Angeles, California.
She is the daughter of actress Goldie Hawn and Bill Hudson, actor, comedian and musician; She is the younger sister of actor Oliver Hudson.
Her parents divorced eighteen months after her birth; she and her brother settled in Snowmass, Colorado, and later in Pacific Palisades, California, with her mother and her boyfriend, actor Kurt Russell.
She is, with Italian ancestry from her paternal grandmother, Jewish, from her maternal grandmother, English and German. She was raised as a Jew.
In 1997, Kate graduated from a Santa Monica school, after which she was accepted to New York University, but she decided to pursue acting rather than pursue a career.
Kate Hudson starred in Cameron Crowe's Almost Famous, for which she won a Golden Globe.
In 2002, she starred in The Four Feathers, as Ethne. In 2003, she works with Luke Wilson in Alex and Emma, and with Naomi Watts in Le Divorce. A year later she starred in the comedy Raising Helen, sharing the bill with Spencer Breslin, Joan Cusack and John Corbett.
In 2005 she stars in The Skeleton Key and in 2006 she appears alongside Owen Wilson and Matt Dillon in You, Me and Dupree. In 2008 she is the protagonist of Fool's Gold.
She later worked on the musical film Nine, an adaptation of the play that Antonio Banderas starred in on Broadway. She had Daniel Day Lewis, Sofia Loren, Penelope Cruz and Nicole Kidman among others as filming partners.
She later starred in the film adaptation of The Killer Inside Me, which premiered on January 24, 2010, at the Sundance Film Festival.
During 2011, she played Darcy in Something Borrowed, based on Emily Giffin's novel of the same title. In 2012, she made her appearance on the television series Glee as Cassandra July.
In 2016, she released her book, Pretty Happy: Healthy Ways to Love Your Body.
Her work in the film Marshall (2017), received positive reviews, although it had little public in theaters. In 2021, she co-starred in the movie Music.
In 2000, she married Chris Robinson of the Black Crowes group. Four years later they had a son, Ryder.
In 2008, she had a relationship with fellow actor Owen Wilson, a partner in You, Me and Dupree. It was a relationship with many ups and downs, and after the break Wilson tried to commit suicide.
After calling it quits with the American actor in 2009, Hudson had a nearly year-long relationship with American football player Alex Rodriguez.
Her second child (Bingham "Bing" Hawn Bellamy), had him with Matthew Bellamy, singer and leader of the British group Muse. They were married in January 2011.
The couple announced on December 9, 2014, that they had ended their engagement.
On October 2, 2018, she announced the birth of her daughter, Rani Rose Hudson Fujikawa.
