Biography of Carmen Electra

Carmen Electra was born on April 20, 1972 in Cincinnati, Ohio.

She is the daughter of Harry Patrick, guitarist, and Patricia, singer. She was the youngest of six siblings.

At the age of nine, she entered the School for Creative and Performing Arts, where she received singing and dancing lessons, performing her own choreography for her school's theater group.

At the age of fifteen, she moved to Minneapolis to live with her sister and stepsister, and she works as a model. At nineteen she travels to Los Angeles and changes her name to Carmen Electra.

She discovered by Prince she released her first album, which went unnoticed.

In 1995 she appears on the Nickelodeon Show: All That and a year later she poses for Playboy. Immediately afterwards she is selected by Lisa Berger, vice president of MTV, to replace Jenny McCarthy on the show Singled Out, appearing in 65 episodes.

In 1997 she replaces Pamela Anderson in the Baywatch series, acting in it for two years.

She made her film debut in the horror comedy American Vampire (1997), and had roles in spoof films such as Scary Movie, Date Movie, Epic Movie, and Disaster Movie. In 2008, she starred in movies like I want Candy and Almost 300.

On November 22, 2003, she married Dave Navarro, guitarist for the rock band Jane's Addiction. The couple announced their separation on July 17, 2006.

In April 2008, her engagement to Otep band member Rob Patterson was announced. Despite being engaged for several years, the couple split in 2012.
