Biography of Kate Bosworth

Kate Bosworth was born on January 2, 1983 in Los Angeles, California. She is an American actress.

Her parents are Hal Bosworth and Patricia Potter. She was born with heterochromia iridis, which causes one of her eyes to have a hazel section and a completely blue section (her predominant color being blue).

She lived in San Francisco at the age of six and during her childhood she lived on the East Coast of the United States, because of her father's job.

While in high school in Cohasset, Massachusetts, Kate learned to speak Spanish and was a member of the National Honor Society. She also played soccer and lacrosse. Kate was always interested in a career as a horse rider and by the age of fourteen she was already a champion horseman.

Kate was accepted to Princeton University but due to work reasons she has not yet entered the prestigious university.

Her first film work was in 1998 in the adaptation of the Nicholas Evans novel, The Horse Whisperer, in which she landed the role of Judith, the friend of the protagonist played by Scarlett Johansson.

In 2001 Kate moved to Los Angeles in order to have greater access to film auditions. Her first role was obtained in 2002 in the film Blue Crush, which grossed 40 million dollars at the US box office. In 2002-2005 she appeared in related movies.

In 2005 she attends the casting of the long-awaited film Superman Returns for the role of Lois Lane, which she gets thanks to her co-star in Beyond the Sea, Kevin Spacey, who plays Lex in this new version of the Superman. The film was released on June 28, 2006.

In 2008, she makes the movie 21. She plays the role of Jill Taylor, the attractive teammate of Ben Cambell (Jim Sturgess). In this film she returns to work with Kevin Spacey.

In 2011 she premiered Straw Dogs, along with which it was rumored that she was her boyfriend, the Swedish Alexander Skarsgard.

She had a relationship with actor Orlando Bloom, whom she met outside a cafe and later saw again at the premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. The couple, after two years of relationship, ended in February 2005.

She later began a relationship with the British model, James Rousseau, since September 2006. It is said that James Rousseau was a great sentimental support for her and that he helped her overcome her anorexia. Although their breakup was not made public, in November 2009, some romantic photos of Kate with fellow actor Alexander Skarsgård, whom she met during the filming of the Straw Dogs movie, came to light.
