Camila Mendes, born June 29, 1994 in Charlottesville, Virginia, is an American-Brazilian actress. She is best known for the role of Veronica Lodge in the television series Riverdale.

Camila Carraro Mendes was born to Brazilian parents of Portuguese and Italian ancestry, Helio Mendes and Gisele Carraro, and is also fluent in Portuguese.

During her childhood, she moved several times but spent most of her time in Miami, Florida where she studied at the American Heritage School. At the age of ten, she spent a year in Brazil. In May 2016, she graduated from the Tisch School of the Arts, one of the schools of New York University.

In 2016, Camila got her first job as an actress playing in a commercial for IKEA.

In February 2016, she joined the cast of the pilot of Riverdale, a series adapted from the comic book characters of the famous publisher Archie Comics, to interpret Veronica Lodge the daughter of Hiram and Hermione Lodge and the girlfriend of Archie. In May 2016, when she had just graduated, the series was officially commissioned. It airs since January 26, 2017 on The CW network. For this role, she will be awarded in the category "Favorite Stealer in a Movie or TV Series" at the 19th Teen Choice Awards.

In October 2017, she landed her first film role when she joined the cast of Carly Ann Stone's independent production The New Romantic alongside Jessica Barden, Hayley Law and Brett Dier. The film will be released on November 9, 2018 in the United States.

She also makes an appearance in the "Side Effects" music video by disc jockey duo, The Chainsmokers feat. Emily Warren, released on July 26, 2018.

In March 2018, she was announced for the casting of the romantic comedy, The Perfect Date by Chris Nelson alongside Noah Centineo and Laura Marano. The film was released on April 12, 2019 on Netflix.

In 2020, she joins the romantic comedy, Palm Springs by Max Barbakow alongside Tyler Hoechlin and Peter Gallagher and the Netflix original film, Dangerous Lies, directed by Michael Scott alongside Jamie Chung, Cam Gigandet, Sasha Alexander and Elliott Gould .

From August 23, 2018 to December 5, 2019, she is in a relationship with actor Charles Melton, met on the set of the television series Riverdale. On December 5, 2019, they announce that they have separated.

Since August 2020 she has been in a relationship with photographer Grayson Vaughan.
