Biography of Mackenzie Davis

Mackenzie Davis was born on April 1, 1987 in Vancouver, Canada.

She is the daughter of Lotte, a graphic designer born in South Africa, and John Davis, a hairdresser, originally from Liverpool, England. Her parents founded the hair care company AG Hair Care.

She has dual Canadian and British citizenship.

A self-proclaimed feminist, she graduated from Montreal's McGill University in Gender Studies. She later studied acting at the Neighborhood Playhouse in New York.

He made his film debut with the feature film Smashed (2012), which would be followed by Breathe In (2013), The F Word (2013), for which he received a Canadian Screen Award nomination, That Awkward Moment (2014), The Martian (2015 ), Blade Runner 2049 (2017), alongside Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Ana de Armas or Jared Leto, among others, and Tully (2018).

In 2019, she played super soldier Grace in Terminator: Dark Fate, the sixth installment in the Terminator franchise, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton. A year later she acted in The Turning, Irresistible and Happiest Season.

From 2014 to 2017, she played computer programmer Cameron Howe on the series Halt and Catch Fire. She subsequently co-starred in San Junipero, one of the Black Mirror episodes and appeared in No Activity (2017) and Home Movie: The Princess Bride (2020).

She starred in Station Eleven, an American post-apocalyptic science fiction miniseries based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Emily St. John Mandel, released on HBO Max on December 16, 2021, and in which she played Kirsten Raymonde, one of the survivors of a devastating pandemic.
