Holly Valance was born on May 11, 1983 in Melbourne, Victoria. She is an Australian-British actress, singer and model.

Holly Valance's father Rajko Vukadinovic is from Serbia, her mother Rachel is from England. Her maternal grandfather was a cousin of British comedian Benny Hill. Valance was educated in Melbourne at a Catholic high school. She has two younger sisters named Coca Melody and Olympia Montana.

From 1999 to 2005, Valance starred in the Australian soap opera Neighbors.

Valance began her singing career in 2002. Released in April 2002, the first single Kiss Kiss, an English-language version of Turkish singer Tarkan's hit Şımarık, was a success, thanks in no small part to the revealing music video, which occupied the British tabloid press for weeks.

The number one spot in the UK was followed by top 10 spots across Europe. In the course of this success, the debut album Footprints, released in October 2002, also reached the UK top 10.

In November 2003 the album State Of Mind followed, which received little attention outside Great Britain.

Valance had an appearance in the television series CSI: Miami in 2004. In 2005 she played a supporting role in the series Prison Break. In 2006, she starred opposite Paris Hilton in the comedy National Lampoon's Pledge This! and appeared in the action film D.O.A. –Dead or Alive on.

In 2008, she starred alongside Liam Neeson in the action thriller Taken. She also played reporter Brenda Snow in the computer game add-on Red Alert 3: Uprising and in 2007 in the series Moonlight - alongside her then partner Alex O'Loughlin - the vampire Lola.

Valance was in a relationship with fellow Australian actor Alex O'Loughlin. The two split in February 2009 after almost four years. On December 22, 2011, she became engaged to British real estate agent Nick Candy. The couple married on September 29, 2012 in Beverly Hills, California. In November 2013 they became parents of a daughter.
