Estella Dawn Warren was born on December 23, 1978 in Peterborough, Ontario. She is a Canadian actress and model.

Estella Warren was born in Peterborough, the youngest of three daughters of Esther, a primary school principal, and her husband Don, a used car salesman. At the age of seven she discovered her passion for synchronized swimming.

At the age of twelve she went to Toronto to train for the Canadian National Team at the Etobicoke Olympium in Etobicoke. She was a three-time Canadian National Champion and bronze medalist at the 1995 FINA World Junior Championships. She represented her home country Canada at the World Aquatic Championship and took second place. She graduated from Silverthorn Collegiate Institute in Etobicoke, Toronto.

Her modeling career began in 1994 when she attended a high school fashion show while she was doing synchronized swimming and was discovered by George Gallier, owner of American Model Management agency. He photographed her and sent the Polaroid photo to a modeling agency in New York. She was then hired by the fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth for the Italian edition of the fashion magazine Vogue because of her looks.

Further orders followed for well-known fashion magazines such as Marie Claire, Elle and the German GQ as well as advertising for companies and brands such as UGG Australia, Andrew Marc, Perry Ellis, Nine West, Cartier, Volvo, De Beers and TV spots for Samsung. She was also featured on the cover of the Victoria's Secret lingerie catalog and the 2000 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.

In June 2013, she was the nude cover of the third issue of 3D photography magazine World's Most Beautiful.

In addition to modeling, she is also an actress. In 2001, she starred in the action film Driven alongsideSylvester Stallone and Burt Reynolds. That same year, she starred in the adventure film Planet of the Apes, directed by Tim Burton. She received a Golden Raspberry Award for Worst Supporting Actress for both films in 2002. It was followed by other supporting roles in the films Kangaroo Jack (2003), The Cooler(2003), Blowing Smoke (2004) and in the horror film Trespassing (2004).

In 2017, Warren was arrested for domestic violence after she threw cleaning supplies at her boyfriend. She was released on $20,000 bail.
