Biography of Sabrina Carpenter

Sabrina Annlynn Carpenter was born on May 11, 1999 in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. She is an American actress and singer.

Sabrina Carpenter made her television debut in January 2011 on the crime series Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. There she plays a young victim who is being questioned by Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni). Around the same time, she performed live at the Gold Mango Audience Festival, which was viewed by about 11 million viewers in China on the Hunan Broadcasting System TV channel. She performed with the song Something's Got a Hold on Me, originally recorded by Etta James in 1963.

In 2012, Carpenter was cast in a recurring role on the comedy series The Goodwin Games as a young Chloe, and has had roles in the pilots of Disney Channel's Gulliver Quinn and ABC's The Unprofessional. She was one of the main dancers in the computer game Just Dance Kids 2.

In 2013, Carpenter starred as a young Merrin in the Canadian fantasy film Horns, which starred Daniel Radcliffe. Furthermore, she had several guest appearances in shows such as Austin and Ally and "Soy Luna" or Orange Is the New Black.

Her first starring role was on the Disney Channel sitcom Girl Meets World, the sequel to the ABC series Boy Meets World, which ran from 1993-2000. There she played the rebellious Maya Hart, the best friend of Riley (Rowan Blanchard).

On June 24, 2016, the Disney Channel Adventures in Babysitting was released, in which she embodies the lead role of Jenny Parker alongside Sofia Carson. That same year, she took on the role of Melissa Chase in the animated series Milo Murphy's Law.

In 2018 she starred as Hailey in the feature film The Hate U Give. This was followed by the fthe dance film Work It for Netflix, in which she played the role of Quinn Ackermann. She played the role of Samantha Brown in the 2020 Disney+ film Clouds.

Sabrina Carpenter entered a national music competition on Miley Cyrus' website in 2010 and placed third.

Sabrina Carpenter's debut single Can't Blame A Girl For Trying was released on March 14, 2014 on Radio Disney and on iTunes the same day. In 2014, she recorded a cover version of the song Do You Want to Build a Snowman? with the Disney Circle of Stars from the movie Frozen.

Their first album Eyes Wide Open was released on April 14, 2015. With the single Can't Blame A Girl For Trying.

Carpenter's second album Evolution was released on October 14, 2016. The album peaked at number 28 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart with 11,500 first week sales.

Their third album, Singular: Act 1, released on the same day, peaked at number 103 on the Billboard Hot 200 chart. The album Singular: Act 2 was released on July 19, 2019.
