Ashley Michele Greene was born on February 21, 1987 in Jacksonville, Florida; nickname Asher). She is an American actress and fashion model.

Her mother, Michele, née Tatum, works for an insurance company, her father, Joe, was in the U.S. Marines. She also has an older brother named Joe. She grew up in Middleburg and Jacksonville, where she first went to the University Christian School. From the tenth grade she attended Wolfson High School, also in Jacksonville.

Greene originally wanted to be a model, but was discouraged due to her height of 5'6". She finished high school at age 17 and moved to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career. She first starred in the music videos Kiss Me, Kill Me by Mest and Lyudi Invalidi by t.A.T.u. and an episode of the MTV series Punk'd. In 2007, she had a cameo role opposite Michael Douglas in King of California.

She celebrated her breakthrough in 2008 and her biggest success to date with the film Twilight. It was followed by films like The Apparition, CBGBand Kristy. She also appeared as a voice actress in the 2015 video games Batman: Arkham Knight and Batgirl: A Matter of Family.

In the drama Shangri-La Suite Greene plays Priscilla Presley, wife of Elvis Presley. In Jesse V. Johnson's film Accident Man she played the role of Charlie Adams alongside Scott Adkins This was followed in 2019 by journalist Abby Huntsman in the Oscar-nominated drama film Bombshell, based on incidents of sexual harassment by former Fox News CEO Roger Ailes.

Greene has been engaged to Australian actor Paul Khoury since December 2016. The couple married in July 2018.
