Jenna Lee Dewan was born on December 3, 1980 in Hartford, Connecticut. She is an American dancer and actress, primarily starring in dance films.

Dewan is best known for the extensive world tours of P. Diddy, Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake, where she worked as a dancer.

However, Dewan has also played minor to medium roles in various films and has starred in three films to date. Her breakthrough role was as Nora Clark in the hit dance film Step Up, opposite Channing Tatum. From October 2013 to October 2014 she was a regular cast member as Freya Beauchamp on the Lifetime television series Witches of East End.

She has been married to fellow actor Channing Tatum since July 2009. They met while filming Step Up in 2006. Their daughter was born in London on May 31, 2013. The couple separated in early April 2018. She has been in a relationship with Steve Kazee since April 2018 and the two have been engaged since February 2020. Their son was born on March 10, 2020.
