Becky G, actually Rebbeca Marie Gómez was born on March 2, 1997 in Inglewood. She is an American singer, dancer and actress.

All grandparents are from the state of Jalisco in Mexico. Rebbeca's parents (Alejandra and Francisco Gomez) were born in the USA. Rebecca was born in Inglewood near Los Angeles, where she grew up. When she was nine, her family moved into her grandparents' garage because Becky's parents could no longer pay the rent.

She acted in commercials and began making music in her early teens. In 2011, she posted a cover of the song Otis by Kanye West on YouTube, which producer Dr. Luke noticed. This marked the beginning of her music career.

On October 2, 2012, the single Oath, which features Becky G alongside British singer Cher Lloyd, was released. It peaked at number 73 on the US charts. Her first single, Problem (The Monster Remix), which she recorded with Will.i.am, served as the soundtrack for the animated film Hotel Transylvania.

On April 23, 2013, she released Becky from the Block, a cover of Jennifer Lopez's 2002 song Jenny from the Block. In October 2014, she made several appearances in Katy Perry's Prismatic Tour. That same year, she received a Radio Disney Music Award for Best Newcomer.

In 2015, she guest-starred in the Disney series Austin & Ally and as "Valentina" in the hip-hop series Empire. In 2017, she starred as Trini Kwan/Yellow Ranger in the motion picture Power Rangers, for which she was nominated for a Teen Choice Awards in the Choice Sci-Fi Movie Actress category.

In September 2019, the music video Chicken Noodle Soup, which she sang with South Korean rapper J-Hope from the K-pop band BTS, was released. In November 2019, Becky G was chosen to embody the League of Legends virtual character Qiyana to represent the band True Damage with Thutmose, Soyeon from (G)I-DLE, Keke Palmer and Duckwrth. The released song GIANTS was played live in the final of the World Championship.

On April 20, 2021, Ram pam pam, a collaboration between her and Natti Natasha, was released as a single for the third time. The two first worked together on their single Sin pijama.
