Scarlett Johansson was born on November 22, 1984 in Manhattan, New York.

She is the daughter of the Danish builder Karlsten Johansson and Melanie Sloan, American, with Polish descent. She had a twin brother, Hunter, a stepbrother, Christian, her father's son, and two more brothers named Vanesa and Adrian, all older than her.
