Biography of Kriti Kharbanda

Kriti Kharbanda was born on October 29, 1990 in Bangalore. She is an Indian actress. Recognized for her work in the Kannada and Telugu film industries, she has received accolades including a SIIMA award and two nominations for the Filmfare Award South. After starting her career as a model, Kriti Kharbanda made her film debut in 2009 with the Telugu film Boni.

Kriti Kharbanda was born in Delhi in the family of Ashwani Kharbanda and Rajni Kharbanda. His family members are Punjabis. She holds a degree in jewelry design. Her known modeling campaigns during her college years include Bhima Jewelers, Spar and Fair and Lovely. Her picture on Spar caught the attention of NRI director Raj Pippala who was looking for a heroine for his film, and it set the stage for her acting career.

After appearing on Spar's Billboard, Kriti was cast in the lead role in the Telugu film Boni starring Sumanth. Boni earned the negative reviews while at the same time providing positive reactions for Kriti. Although the film failed to achieve box office success, she still got a major role in Pawan Kalyan's Teen Maar.

The film was hugely successful at the box office in 2010, and Kriti confessed that it contributed to her recognition and "a good deal of admiration for her in the industry". The result was that she ended up receiving a lot of proposals from Sandalwood projects. However, it took her a long time to sign for her second Sandalwood film: in October 2011 she signed for 4 films in a single month.

As of 2019, Kharbanda is dating Pulkit Samrat, his partner for the films Veerey Ki Wedding and Pagalpanti.
