Biography of Barbara Palvin

Barbara Palvin was born on October 8, 1993 in Budapest. She is a Hungarian model.

She is known for her “Lolita” look, reminiscent of both Brooke Shields and Natalia Vodianova.

Barbara Palvin grew up in Budapest, Hungary, where she attended the Pál Merse Szinyei school. At the age of thirteen, she was spotted on the streets of Budapest.

She began her modeling career in Japan and three years later, she appeared for the first time in the pages of the Japanese magazine Spur Magazine. Shortly after, she signed with the agency IMG.

In January 2010, she posed for the fashion magazine Vogue Italia, and the following month, she was on the cover of L'Officiel Paris. In February, the magazine Jalouse also devotes about twenty pages to him.

She then marched for Prada during Milan Fashion Week. The following month, Barbara Palvin appeared on the cover of L'Officiel (Russian edition, March 2010), posed for the American magazine Harper's Bazaar, and paraded during the Week of ready-to-wear fashion shows in Paris, for Nina Ricci, Louis Vuitton, and Miu Miu, Prada's second brand. During 2011, she was photographed by Steven Meisel for the perfume Forbidden Euphoria by Calvin Klein, and posed for the C&A advertising campaign in Brazil18. She then appeared in the Korean Harper's Bazaar, in the French Elle magazine, and in the French (in February and November4), Australian, and Spanish Vogue. She also appears in the magazine Number.

In 2012, she posed for Armani Exchange and signed a contract with the French cosmetics brand L'Oréal Paris, of which she became the muse. She also poses for the brands H&M, Dsquared, Pull & Bear and Massimo Dutti, the latter two belonging to the Spanish group Inditex. The same year, she marched and posed for the lingerie brand Victoria's Secret. She is also present in September in the magazine Harper's Bazaar, for its American edition, photographed by Terry Richardson, as well as the same month in the same magazine for its British edition.

During her career, she appeared in various Hungarian magazines such as Elle Hungary, and also made the front page of Glamor Hungary and Cosmopolitan Hungary (February 2013).

In early 2013, she was again photographed by Terry Richardson for Spanish Vogue, and appeared in the pages of English Elle, English Glamour and Italian Marie Claire.

In 2018, she is the face of Bella perfume by Nina Ricci.

On November 8, 2018, she returned to the Victoria's Secret fashion show after 6 years of absence. On March 14, 2019, she became a Victoria's Secret Angel.

From 2010 to 2013, Barbara Palvin was Kristof Somfai's girlfriend.

Since June 17, 2018, she has been in a relationship with actor Dylan Sprouse.
